Join the ride!

OUR MISSION

We’re on a mission to raise the next generation of mountain bikers - and we’re looking for passionate, innovative and driven people to join us on the journey.

We believe that riding, and everything it offers, helps positively develop kids, and leaves a lasting impression on both parent and child. And we believe that this is genuinely good for the world.

We’re always on the lookout for the right people to join our family in New Zealand, or our growing teams in Europe and North America. If you believe in our mission like we do, then we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us.

LIFE AT KIDS RIDE SHOTGUN

Most of us work from our new Shredquarters in sunny Mount Maunganui (New Zealand). We’re a fast growing team and with a few years under our belt, we're already an award winning, globally recognised brand with worldwide distribution in our niche. If you want to learn more about the business - visit our about us page.

Our success to date is a product of the people in our team, and our fast-growth, start-up culture. We're building a category here, and writing the rulebook as we go!

So if you’re looking to put your skills to the test and develop new ones daily, you’ve come to the right place - it’s a fast paced and dynamic environment where no two days are the same. As our brand grows from strength to strength you’ll have the opportunity to directly impact the business and work with the team as a whole.

OUR BACKYARD

Stepping out of the office door, you’re on the golden-sand surf beaches of the Mount in just a few minutes - fancy a dip at lunch? Race you to the beach!

We’re also just 40 minutes drive from the world renowned trails of Rotorua, which host our monthly team rides. All MTB ability levels are welcome, we’ve got competitive racers in our team, but also team members who are riding trails for the first time, it’s all about fun. Want to squeeze in some hot laps before or after work? The local trails at Summer Hill or Oropi are just 20 minutes from our Shredquarters.

MEET THE TEAM

Stu

- Product Manager

Stuart joined us back in 2019 after relocating from Wellington to tackle the task of bringing new KRS products to market. Before Shotgun he was Product Manager & Designer at UBCO, another New Zealand success story.

"Working at Kids Ride Shotgun has given me the opportunity to work across such a wide range of products, from books through to mechanically technical kids seats. One aspect I really enjoy is getting to take products all the way from initial concept through to working alongside the sales and marketing team to launch them too. And what’s really unique about working at Kids Ride Shotgun is getting to see all these products come to market and get used in the real world, and to see the smiling faces of the kids at the end of it all. We’re making cool stuff that people use every day! "

Trev

- European Market Lead

Trev is responsible for our growth in Europe. Residing in the trail rich Tweed Valley (Scotland), home to the UK's EWS round. Trev joined us in 2020 from Enduro Magazine, where he was Editor for 8 years.

"The moment I became a parent my priorities shifted, watching my boy discover the joy of bikes and the outdoors ignited a passion in me – to help more kids break free of screen time and hit the trails. Championing a strong outdoor culture and motivated 'Kiwi can-do' outlook, that same shared passion fuels the entire Kids Ride Shotgun team, driving every decision made. Working in sales, seeing the awesome impact our products create around the globe, delivering thousands of precious moments for families on the trails, well that just makes my day. "

Lauren

- North American Market Lead

Lauren is responsible for our North American market strategy - no small task! Lauren joined us from Liv Cycling where she was the Marketing & Events Coordinator, and before that Category Sales Manager with QBP as well as General Manager with pedal of Littleton - she's a true industry veteran.

"To unite my lifelong passion for mountain biking while raising a young daughter (who's already stoked on bikes) is the most stellar career path. Our team is working on such an important mission and I could not be more excited for what is ahead with Kids Ride Shotgun!"
