All our products are designed and manufactured to meet applicable international safety standards for their intended use. We continually test and review our products to ensure they remain safe and of the highest quality.

Safe Use Guidelines

Kids Ride Shotgun products should only be used for their intended purpose, and in accordance with the fitting and safety instructions supplied with each product.

- Always read and follow the fitting and safety instructions supplied with your product before use.

- Ensure your Kids Ride Shotgun product, and any bicycle used in conjunction with it, are in sound mechanical condition before use.

- Do not use any product if any part is damaged or broken.

- Check all fasteners and attachment points regularly to ensure they remain secure where applicable.

- Use products only within any applicable weight, age or sizing limits specified in the supplied instructions.

- Before using any Kids Ride Shotgun product, check whether there are any laws that apply in the country in which the product will be used, particularly those relating to the use of bicycles and the carrying of children.

- Use of certain products may affect the handling characteristics of your bicycle. Riders should always ride within their ability and adjust their riding style accordingly.

- Riders and passengers should wear approved protective equipment where appropriate.

- Never leave a child unattended while using any Kids Ride Shotgun product.

Shotgun Seat & Handlebar Safety Standards

Our Shotgun seat range includes both restrained seats (kids up to 15 kg) and active participation seats (kids 12–27 kg).

All of our Shotgun seats in both categories are designed, tested and comply with international standards, including recently developed safety standards created specifically for modern front-mounted child bike seats.

Our restrained seats meet both ASTM F3642 and EN 14344, while our active participation seat range complies with ASTM F3641. We believe products built for a purpose should deliver on that promise — which is why we’re committed to continually improving both our product design and safety.
