DESCRIPTION

The Shotgun seat is our original frame mounted mtb child seat – with easy fitting & removal and zero bike modifications required. With the Shotgun handlebars included, you'll get everything you need to start riding with your little one.

Quick and easy fitting

Allen key fitting – 3-4 minutes to fit, remove and swap between bikes.

Fits regular MTB

Suitable for use with single and dual suspension regular mountain bikes.

Not suitable for use with electric mountain bikes.

For kids 2 - 5 years

Suitable for children weighing 12 - 27kg (recommended age 2 - 5 years)

Adjustable to fit

Adjustable leg width, angle and saddle position – making it simple to get the perfect fit.

Fitted with protective rubber padding

With thick rubber padding, the Shotgun seat is safe to use on carbon or alloy frames.

Handlebars included

With secure allen key fitting and rubber grips designed for little hands – the shotgun bars make for a great addition to your Shotgun seat setup.

        Specifications

        Will the Shotgun seat fit my bike?

        The Shotgun seat fits almost all modern analogue mountain bikes (front suspension required) – including bikes with steep, sloping or tapered top tubes. It’s even suitable for carbon frames. Visit our fitting guide for more detailed information on fitting the Shotgun seat. 

        The Shotgun seat is not suitable for electric bikes, or bikes without front suspension including road bikes, gravel bikes, some hybrid bikes, beach cruiser bikes, bikes with step-through or single tube frames, or old mountain bikes with brake cables running along the top or side of the top tube.

        Will the Shotgun handlebars fit my bike?

        The Shotgun handlebars fit 25.4mm, 31.8mm and 35mm handlebar diameters, and stems up to 75mm wide – with full rubber handlebar protection. Suitable for flat or riser handlebars.

        Will my child fit the Shotgun seat?

        The Shotgun seat is suitable for children weighing 12 - 27kg (recommended age 2 - 5 years). Visit our size guide to find out if your child is ready to ride up front.

          A must buy for parents; don’t think just buy!

          Honestly, I was already ready to buy this kids ride shotgun but then a coworker raved about her husband and kid having the time of their lives with this set up. So I thought, alright, maybe I need to upgrade my dad parenting level and really show my son not only a great time biking but also how excellent his dad (me) is at hitting the trails. He’s only 2 so he doesn’t know that I’m actually pretty mediocre, but I don’t have to worry about that for a couple of years because there’s plenty of room for him to grow in this saddle before I need to show off my skills.

          Anyways, this equipment was easy to set up. Took me the length of a 2 year olds nap for reference. Recommend watching the video of set up, not because it’s hard, but because it’s nice to see it and then read the instructions.

          Highly recommend their guide to introducing your kid to the seat. I really hyped it up as “your bike” and all their recommendations for the first ride. Made my son super excited.

          Anyways, he loves it. I love it because I have an easy excuse to ride and hit the trails by bringing him along. Gives mom a break too which is a huge bonus. Little does she know that we’re out hitting the berms, rock gardens, and pushing our limits on the advanced trails. But as long as she gets a break and thinks I’m “parenting” that’s all that matters. This is a must buy and such an awesome bonding time with you kid.

          Great piece of gear, brought it for my 2 year old so he can come riding with my older two. He loves it. Daddy ready set go!
